Weekly Bulletin – September 8 2019

WADARC meets at – TS Vanguard, 9a Broadwater Road, Worthing. BN14 8AD

THE PAST WEEK

Not nearly as many people expected turned up for last Tuesday’s meeting to discuss where the Club is going and what kind of programme members want for the coming months. It seems that many members have paid their membership, but have no interest in what the Club does! Thanks to those who did bother to turn out and for some ideas for our forthcoming programme. Those present decided that we will have an on-air evening this coming Tuesday. The K3 will be available and some members will be trying out their own receivers. We will also be trying out the feasibility of using a pump-up mast, as permanent support for VHF antennas.

Unfortunately GB3WO, our 70cm club repeater has thrown a small wobbly and is refusing to act as a repeater. Although the repeater is sending is ident at regular intervals and it’s been proved that its receiver is working, it is not re-transmitting signals heard on its input. If you can’t access the repeater, it’s not likely to be a fault with your equipment. Please be patient, whilst the fault is being investigated.
