Amateur radio in West Sussex - Training, Exams, Contests and Special Event Stations

Weekly Bulletin – December 1 2018

WADARC meets at – Lions Hall, 21 Roberts Road, Lancing. BN15 8AR.

THE PAST WEEK

Last Wednesday’s meeting was very eventful. Les, G3JSU provided members with laminated sheets with details of the club’s nets on them – very useful for the shack wall.
A small posse of us visited the Sea Cadets HQ in Worthing – TS Vanguard. We met with Captain Minter, who was very amenable and seems keen to have us hire the premises for club meetings. Details of the facilities (including radio room and aerials) have already been posted to members, this means that our meeting night will have to change to Monday or Tuesday. A Doodle Poll was setup for members to indicate their favourite evening. The Poll is still open, but the overwhelming response has been in favour of Tuesdays. It’s still not too late to cast your vote at: https://doodle.com/poll/uhpv3z2ipenkmft8
Subject to final negotiations and approval, we hope to move club QTH in mid-January 2019.

Next week’s meeting will be partly tea and chat, but more importantly Graham, G4FNL will be conducting a planning meeting for setting up a commemorative station for WADARC’s 70th anniversary. ALL members are welcome and we look forward to your ideas and any support you’re able to give.

Also mention the Doodle Poll for members and prospective members to vote on your preferred meeting night: https://doodle.com/poll/uhpv3z2ipenkmft8
