WADARC meets at – TS Vanguard, 9a Broadwater Road, Worthing. BN14 8AD

THE PAST WEEK

Thanks to those who took the trouble to submit the several entries to the Construction Contest last Tuesday. Jonathan, G1EXG – several items including a lightning detector and a 3D printed shower head holder (as a fun item). Alan, G4GNX – 2 metre solid state linear amplifier. Ray, G4XUZ – a compact QRP transceiver. Bryan, G0SIU – a modified Cubical Quad for 2 metres, with homebrew boom adaptor.
The worthy winner was Ray, G4XUZ. Well done.

Ray’s QRP rig.

Spaceweather reports that the Sun is spewing out solar debris towards the Earth. Disturbances to the HF bands are expected, as well as possible auroras.

This coming Tuesday is the AGM where your support will be much appreciated. There will also be an exciting announcement, which you will not want to miss. We also hope to find time for a discussion on venues for our annual Christmas party.
