WADARC meets at – Lions Hall, 21 Roberts Road, Lancing. BN15 8AR.
THE PAST WEEK
Wednesday evening’s barbecue at Goring Gap seems to have gone well and was popular with those who managed to attend. Unfortunately 2 members had to drop out at short notice due to health issues and a family crisis, however 18 people enjoyed Alastair’s cooking of burgers, hot dogs and the occasional steak and rashers of bacon. I’m sure everyone will wish to join me in thanking Alastair for his efforts, buying and preparing the food, setting up the BBQ and doing an excellent job as outdoor chef.
Despite the club’s K3 with an antenna and mast being available, nobody was sufficiently interested to use them, but fortunately we were represented by Bryan, G0SIU who set up a 40 metre station with his KX3 and borrowed antenna – 10 Watts to a dipole. Stations worked (CW & SSB): GM0CME , GM3XX, UA2VTY, DL3YP, S57DX
With donations on the night and the money we saved not using Lions Hall, we were able to offer members free food, which eventually only cost the club £20 – good value for money for an excellent evening.

FINALÉ
Rumour has it that Andy, M6RFE has managed to lose a large sausage in the shape of a Salami. Anyone finding said item should report it on one of the club nets or on GB3WO, then post it in a plain envelope to WADARC Hon. Sec. c/o Lancing Treacle Mine.
