THE PAST WEEK
Last Tuesday’s talk on Flex, by Phil G4UDU proved to be very interesting and informative. It does seem that SDR is the way that Amateur Radio is going, although preceding radios are not dead yet. The audience number was improved over previous weeks (around 20 people) although those who didn’t bother to turn up missed a darned good talk and subsequent discussion.
The South Coast 4 metre net (NOT a WADARC net) has moved its start time to 7.30pm every Friday on 70.400MHz FM. Quite a popular net. Look out for net controller G8XRX.

FINALÉ
I recently had a very favourable report of a cheap vector analyser – the NanoVNA, available via eBay. This one covers up to 1296MHz (although the official spec is only 900MHz) making it suitable for 23cms and below. At 1 penny under £30, it’s worth considering. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NanoVna-50KHz-900MHz-Vector-Network-Analyzer-UHF-VNA-UV-VHF-Antenna-Analyze-C8R8/401915858705?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
