Amateur radio in West Sussex - Training, Exams, Contests and Special Event Stations

Weekly Bulletin – February 23 2020

Vic, G8MUQ gave a most interesting talk accompanying a DVD about Gerry Wells, his life (especially as a child) and his Dulwich Radio Museum. You could tell that there was a lot of interest, as we were all watching the credits at the end of the DVD, in the hope that there might be further snippets. Vic knew Gerry very well and was happy to answer questions about him. Thanks Vic.

The Club’s new HF Linear Amplifier, an Elecraft KPA500, has been ordered and is on its way. Hopefully it will be with us by Tuesday. We are designating one or more club nights to building the kit, as a communal effort.

We had some biscuits donated last week (thanks Roger, G4TNT) but we could do with some more and they will be much appreciated from any of our members.
