WADARC meets at – TS Vanguard, 9a Broadwater Road, Worthing. BN14 8AD
THE PAST WEEK
A very interesting talk was given by the CO of Worthing Sea Cadets, Dave Jackson. Much about the differences between Military and Amateur Radio communications. A convoluted but understandable callsign structure and very short, to the point messages. They don’t seem to go in for rag-chewing! They’re also keen to be able to use the HF bands as well as their VERY short range handhelds, and we really need to get the shack setup, so we can all partake.
We’ve purchased a new Hytera repeater to eventually replace GB3WO and this should be online fairly soon.
This coming Tuesday is the annual Construction Contest. Please bring along any item that you have constructed, or just turn up to enjoy the fun. Knitted radios and wooden or plastic antennas are permitted!
