WADARC meets at – TS Vanguard, 9a Broadwater Road, Worthing. BN14 8AD
THE PAST WEEK
Last Tuesday the weather held up and around 20 of us met at Goring Gap. Thanks to Roger, G7VBR for providing tea, coffee and some delicious cake, as well as a small tent to operate in. Alex, 2E0UMD setup a portable (fishing pole) mast to support a 1/2 size G5RV antenna, but with only 5 Watts phone, any contacts were a struggle. Another antenna that appeared was a kite antenna, but it’s not certain of it got connected to a rig, or if contacts were made. One or two contacts were made on 2 metres, but it got a bit chilly around 9.30pm, so a quick clear-up was in order and site abandoned.
