THE PAST WEEK
Last Wednesday’s meeting was rather poorly attended, so those who were there had double mince pies! Just to prove how bad the parking has been getting in Roberts Road, some idiot parked a van part way across the hall entrance and the rest of the street seemed to also be littered with vans. Roger was able to take a picture of the situation and is sending it to the Lions Hall management, although it’s too late in the day to help us. Let’s hope that our final meeting in Lancing will fare slightly better.
I’m not quite sure what Phil and Ian were doing, but the IC7300 was setup and communication was made between Phil’s tablet PC and the rig. Yay, some radio for a change.
Despite discussion of other matters, we forgot to arrange the multi-band nets for the Wednesday evenings we will not be meeting over the Christmas/New Year period. Can we please have volunteers to run (say) a 30 minute net starting with 40 metres, then 80 metres and 160 metres. Surely there must still be people in WADARC who can actually get on the air from home?!
Please note that Wednesday 9th January will be the LAST meeting at Lions Hall, we will then be moving our evening to TUESDAYS, commencing 15th January at TS Vanguard, 9a Broadwater Road, Worthing..
