Brian ZL3BCO, SK. A Tribute from John G4BLJ About this time last year, XYL Sue and I were on tour in ZL/VK. While planning the trip, Brian gave us much useful information via e-mail and echolink. During a month on the road in ZL South Island, Brian kept in QSO via the UHF National Repeater system. On the 7th of February, just under a year ago, we visited Brian and Carol at their QTH in Nelson. During a fine high tea, we were presented with a jar of real UK Marmite, treasured thereafter. Our condolences to Carol at this sad time. ZL3BC'HO' Rest in peace, Amen.

Next Club Meeting - 01/02/2012 - Electrical Safety

On Wednesday 1st February, Gary Matthews M6PAP will give a talk entitled Take your Pic. This I imagine, is about PICs (programable interface controllers), the programmable single chip controllers that are available.

There will be no meeting at the parish hall on the 8th February in accordance the trial period decided upon at the last AGM.

Contest News

The new 2012 Contest Calendar has been published, see below for the link.

The first contest of 2012 is the AFS Contest between 14:00 and 18:00 UTC. The CW contest is on the 8th January, and Phone on the 14th.

The first contest in the 2012 series of the 80M Club Championship will be for CW, and is on Monday 6th February, 20:00-21:30 UTC.
