Awards & Competitions
Presentation of these awards takes place at the annual Christmas Party.
- CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
(1st Oct-30th Sep) - A Points system is used so that the more you're involved, the more points you score:
- Clubroom attendance - 1 point
- Attending a Club event/Contest - 1 point
- An article published in Ragchew - 1 point
- Operating/Logging in a Club Contest - 2 points
(for at least one hour)
- Entering the Construction Contest - 2 points
- Giving a Lecture/Workshop Talk - 3 points
- Organising an Event - 4 points
(Contest/Rally/Treasure Hunt etc)
(Committee Members are exempted)
- 40m(7MHz) RX AWARD
"A" Licencees excluded. (1st Oct-30th Sep)
Scoring is One point per DXCC Country.
- G4MDP VHF/UHF SATELLITE AWARD
Satellite Contacts ONLY. Scoring is QSO x QRA [no dupes]

- VHF AWARD for 2 Metres
(1st Oct-30th Sep). Scoring is QSO x QRA [no dupes]
- G8VEH UHF AWARD
70cm and above (1st Oct-30th Sep). Scoring is QSO x QRA [no dupes]
- G0FIG 50MHZ AWARD
50MHz activity (1st Oct-30th Sep). Scoring is QRA + DXCC x Countries [no dupes]
- HF SINGLE BAND SHIELD
An HF band selected for the year (1st Oct-30th Sep).
Scoring is One point per DXCC Country - For 2008/2009, the band is 20 Metres
- ADUR COMMUNICATIONS Award
All bands. Scoring is QSOs + Bonus, in best session of 2 in
Spring and Autumn.

CLUB ACTIVITY AWARDS
These progressive Activity Awards are given for achievement and take the form
of a Certificate.
There is no time limit, and therefore those countries
worked through entry in any of the club annual contests will count.
These certificates came into force on 1st January 1995.

HF ANY MODE zone 14, 15 countries.

CW ANY BAND zone 14, 10 countries.

From the above you will be aware that there are a total of NINE certificates available.
The thirty countries worked for both certificates in section B would count
toward the basic fifty in section D.
